CMO Has Welcoming Atmosphere

If you haven’t stopped by the Community Management Office (CMO) in a while, you may want to make a visit.  With the new Board and Community Manager having settled in, you will experience a whole new atmosphere.

The front desk receptionist has always been professional and welcoming, and now she is demonstrating a next level of enthusiasm and jubilance that will make you feel as though you are family. The Activities Coordinator has completed a community survey on what types of activities residents are interested in and is diligently working to organize and schedule a variety of fun activities and events. The Assistant Community Manager and longtime employee of Ventana Lakes continues to work her financial and organizational magic behind the scenes, is quick to assist her fellow workers, and now takes any opportunity to come out and greet visiting residents. The Community Manager, with her long-standing and professional HOA credentials, is proving to be a true asset to the Association. She has established a productive and happy office atmosphere. Despite handling both the facilities and administrative functions, she still finds time to meet with individual residents when needed, giving that personal and much needed “you are valued” touch. Even when she has to say “no,” she delivers it with such finesse that you know she tried and all options were considered.

It is so nice to feel welcome at our onsite Community Management Office. Previously a sterile environment existed, which conflicted with the vision of a true community in Ventana Lakes. A management office being the central engine of a community is where new residents get a first impression of the Association mechanics and neighborhood cohesiveness. It is where existing residents go to get answers about governing documents, obtain clarification on community restrictions, and learn about entertainment opportunities. When vendors visit the CMO they want professional and efficient responses regarding contracts and services rendered. HOA’s are in the “people business” and as such, staffing a community management office requires professional HOA training, people skills, common sense, and the ability to negotiate and compromise in difficult situations. We now have all that and more; we have the freedom to question and be heard.

Residents will find that it is once again okay to show their appreciation of staff through emails to the Board, Community Manager and HOAMCO, and to provide goodies to the CMO or other tokens of acknowledgement.
