City of Peoria Resources for Residents

On Tuesday, October 22, Ventana Lakes welcomed the City of Peoria Resource Assistance and Community Engagement Teams, and our Councilman/Vice Mayor Jon Edwards, to share information about the programs and resources the City has to offer.

The Peoria Community Engagement division is a collection of programs and services that help connect residents to resources, ensuring a high quality of life by strengthening neighborhoods and communities.

To name a few, there is the Tool Lending Center (TLC) which offers tools to assist homeowners, renters and neighborhood groups in undertaking landscaping projects, yard clean-ups, community rebuilding and other improvement projects.

The new ride share program was presented, and this transportation service will be available starting in December.  The WeRide service is similar to Uber or Lyft.

  • For WeRide, the regular adult fare is $2 per ride, $4 round trip.  Children 12 years of age and under ride free with a fare-paying passenger.

  • Service will be available Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

  • Schedule service by phone, online or phone app

  • Pickup and drop-off will be at the Yacht Club

  • WeRide vehicles are ADA-friendly and seat 4-8 passengers. Bike racks are available.

Many thanks to this Peoria team for coming to Ventana Lakes and sharing such good information.

If you were unable to attend this presentation, you can pick up a pamphlet, flyers and a Community Resource Guide at the management office.
