The Inspire Project

On Monday, July 17, 2023, five HOAMS Club members from Ventana Lakes toured the Peoria FLEX Academy facility and delivered food donations from Ventana Lakes residents for the Inspire Project pantry. The following thank you was sent to the HOAMS Club and Ventana Lakes residents.

Team Peoria FLEX Academy and The Inspire Project would like to thank the HOAMS Club and the wonderful residents of Ventana Lakes for their generosity in supporting the establishment of a Food Pantry at Peoria FLEX Academy. FLEX provides specialized instruction and counseling for PUSD 11th and 12 graders experiencing homelessness, family challenges and financial strains that present challenges to the student's ability to be successful in a traditional high school environment. With your help, Inspire was able to provide a refrigerator, racks of twenty specific food items and a coffee station for the staff and students at this amazing school. School counselors and social workers will now be able to provide their students with a snack and beverage during counseling sessions and provide emergency meal assistance for a student and/or their family. The pantry is a dream come true for this staff!  Your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of so many in this program for the 2023-2024 school year.

Even our Willow District Councilman was on hand to build needed shelving for the pantry and clothing area. Additional donations will be collected throughout the year with an updated listing of needed items available the 15th of each month. Only requested items will be accepted as the Inspire Project does not have the resources to sort through items that are not requested. Cash donations are always welcome and can be submitted anytime.
